Happy Holidays, from the Zy Universe team
We’re about to wrap-up our second full year of working on Zy Universe! This has been an incredible journey with support from so many people, and the time has flown by. The state of the project today has the team working hard at delivering a fully multiplayer early build for our subscribed play testers. We’ll be talking more about what to expect in that build on the Patreon site for those that have signed up to support us (thank you!). If you haven’t signed up, or don’t feel inclined to, don’t worry. We will still be releasing tons of content as soon as the servers are fired up, and testing begins.
On to other exciting news. We have added a new team member to our development team, Khris! He has been working with Unity for several years, and he comes with a slew of experience to offer the team. He has been on the team for less than a week, but has already implemented the HUD elements we shared a few weeks ago into the game. Along with the HUD, the development team is also working on fine tuning some aspects of the player animations and weapons (including weapon swapping, which will be a core game play mechanic), while our level designer is continuing to work on building out the level.
We will be on a bit of a hiatus over the holiday & new year, so things may be a little quiet on our Discord and site. But we’ll be back after the 1st with a renewed energy (or hangover) to work on Zy Universe!
